Suited to subtropical and temperate regions. This species has been reported to survive temperatures down to - 8 C. A very popular cycad which is widely grown and has proved to be adaptable to a range of climates and situations. Plants grow best in full sun and need excellent drainage. Watering during summer is beneficial and unimpeded air movement is important to avoid foliage being damaged by excessive wet. Tolerant of light to moderate frosts.

Plants are ready for landscape projects, caudex sizes ranging from 10cm to 20cm+. Will withstand temperatures below freezing for short periods. Drought hardy when established. Medium sized cycad, very slow growing, Ideal for rockeries or median strip planting, prefer full sun.
These Magnificent Cycads are cold hardy ( as low as -8 Celcius without showing signs of damage) as well as being drought tolerant and able to withstand extreme heat when established in the ground. Small to medium cycad ideal for landscape projects calling for a plant of small to medium stature as well as withstanding extremes of temperature. Check for availability.
