This rare and beautiful Ceratozamia is named for its broad leaflets. Over time, this plant develops an emergent trunk up to 8 inches long, and 4 inches in diameter. New leaves emerge bronze, red or chocolate brown, hardening off to light or bright green, and are semi glossy.
Suited to cool tropical and subtropical regions. An attractive species for a lightly shaded position in the ground or as container subjects. Plants can sucker freely.

Ceratozamia latifolia is one of the best landscape plants in this genus. It prefers to be in the shade to look it’s best. It has proven to be very cold and frost hardy. It grows fairly fast and reacts well to fertilizer applications. This plants will attain a 7 foot spread. This plant has beautiful red emergent leaves.
