(Rare Jamaican Form) Plants of this beautiful ferny Cycad are of the “rare” Jamaican form. These plants thrive in conditions of Full Shade, Part Shade to Full Sun situations.
A small, branching cycad with a subterranean stem. Leaves to about 1.5 metre long. Native to grasslands and pine-oak forests on the Caribbean islands of Jamaica, Cuba und Puerto Rico.
Its profusely branching, underground trunk carries many thin and long-stalked, flat or slightly keeled leaves with numerous, oblong leaflets that are rounded at the tip. It is tolerant of drought, full sun or light shade and an easy plant for warm temperate as well as most tropical climates.
